WHOLE FAMILY MINISTRY

 WE BELIEVE IN FAMILIES.
WE CHERISH FAMILIES.

And as Christ's church we know that
WE ARE CALLED TO INVEST IN, ENCOURAGE, AND BUILD UP FAMILIES.

That is why while we have times to teach and lead both children and teens, we don't do children's ministry or teen ministry but strive to serve the whole family, as a family. That means that in all we do we keep asking, "How can we better help families to grow in the Lord Jesus Christ?"

This means that we structure our Sunday worship with families in mind.
It means we seek to nourish your littlest toddler to your eighteen-year-old while also caring for you as parents.

And it means we want to do all we can to help you be a healthy family.

HELPING YOU BE THE PARENT GOD CALLED YOU TO BE

Our great hope is to partner with parents and grandparents to help equip you to better disciple the children God has put into your care. Each Sunday, our children come home with easy to use handouts that help you take the next step to teach and apply the week's lessons at the dinner table, in the car, and as you walk and talk out life with them. Our FAMILY MINISTRY site (mygraceriver.life) always gives you quick, 24/7 access to all of the the month's videos and handouts.

HELPING YOU CONNECT AND GROW WITH OTHER FAMILIES

Far from just a ministry that teaches your children, Grace River's Family Ministry creates avenues for you to have meaningful interactions with other parents. We host family-centered events like apple picking, movie nights, and bbqs, so that you get to form relationships and our children get to have fun with other Christian youth and see church as more than just a Sunday experience.

We also get together for parent workshops and times of prayer where we can share our burdens, lean on each other, and encourage one another to better lead our homes in God-glorifying ways.

CHRIST-CENTERED TEACHING

Our goal is to help children and parents connect every Bible lesson to Jesus Christ. This means that our teaching is not focused on virtues or behavior modification but the Gospel. Each week, there is a Christ Connection point that links the Bible passage and the week's Big Idea to the saving, redemptive work of our Savior. There is truly good news each time.

We use the Gospel Project Kids curriculum to chronologically walk families through each story of the Bible and help everyone see the big picture of the Bible. From Nursery to 11-year-olds, each Sunday we have three to four classes with age-appropriate lessons that incorporate engaging, innovative and Bible-focused videos, crafts and activities as well as time for children to open up and read/hear God's word for themselves.

SAFE. CLEAN. CONVENIENT.

This means at Grace River, our church is clean, safe, and convenient for your whole family. Our classrooms all utilize Planning Center's Check-in to ensure that each child is dropped off and picked up only by an authorized guardian. Additionally, our church features a Life Safety Team staffed by well-trained members who help with medical, physical, and emergency safety at every worship function. For your convenience, there is a Family Bathroom reserved just for you!

All of our classes are staffed by highly-trained, deeply passionate, and discipled Christians who are each members of our church. There are a minimum of two adults in each room at all times.
